A versatile combination microwave oven with excellent reviews from buyers.

It is a bit larger than many microwaves (550 mm wide x 537 mm depth x 368 mm height) so make sure it will fit. However if it does and you are able to spend a bit more than a typical basic microwave, you will get a great oven.

It has a massive 40 litre capacity – not enough for a turkey for 12 at Christmas, but certainly enough for an ordinary family roast. Much easier to clean the microwave than a conventional oven – although the back surface is not smooth and a bit tricky to wipe. Another big advantage over a conventional oven is that it will use less than half the electricity costs!

And it can do much more – for example it has a programme for baked potatoes that takes less than 30 minutes and  will ensure that they come out with soft insides and crisp outsides.

The controls are generally very easy to use for those who prefer digital displays, although you have to enter the cooking time before the cooking method – a bit counter intuitive, but OK after you get used to it.

Unlike most microwave ovens it has a shelf, so you can easily cook more than one thing at the same time.

If you want a microwave that can double up as an oven and grill and cook quicker and cheaper than in a conventional oven, this is the one for you.
