The Panasonic microwave NN-E273S digital solo microwave oven 20L 800w in stainless steel is a very good buy. It does what it says on the box. It is just an ordinary microwave that is perfect for cooking small dishes and defrosting or reheating things.It is easy to use and to set up. The only small drawback with it is that it tends to slide on a hard surface when you close the door . It could do with some rubber pads under it’s feet to solve this. Apart from that I can find no other problems with it.

This was purchased to make popcorn – 1 bag was all it was able to do. The unit would not heat anything on any setting. I sent it back with turntable, etc & have my refund, but I had hoped for a replacement. – Mrs D Truman

Very dissaponting for a Panasonic. We have always bought Panasonic microwaves, so I bought this one for my mother when her old Panasonic broke after 15 years of daily use. The microwave is very small inside (too small for most of her containers) and after a few months all the paint inside the microwave started peeling off and the writing on the outside had all rubbed off. We got a replacement quickly and easily though and the replacement seems to be of much better quality – I suspect they have changed the manufacturing plant.

This microwave is excellent. The design is robust, and it is very easy to operate. My guess is that some of those who report problems haven’t removed all of the protective plastic film before operating the microwave. This would explain the overheating.

This microwave works efficiently. So far, I have not done anything exotic, like making marmalade, which I have done previously. The size of the oven may be described as ‘compact’. It could do with having a bit more room inside.
